Introducing 'Through The Labyrinth,' a four-episode podcast about what happens after someone is taken by ICE
Listen to the trailer for our first podcast miniseries.
By now, we’ve all seen footage of federal agents forcibly removing people from their communities as part of the government’s deportation agenda. Children coming home to missing parents, breadwinners taken to detention centers, families violently ripped apart — so much news coverage has focused on the raids, but what happens afterward? What systems do people have to navigate for a chance to maybe see their loved one again?
“Through The Labyrinth” is a four-episode podcast miniseries produced and reported by investigative reporter Morgan Keith. The podcast will take listeners on a journey through these systems, where they will hear directly from Angelenos forced to look for their family members inside the sprawling, state-sanctioned mechanisms of immigration detention. This project captures how federal policy affects the people in our community, and the lasting impacts of the Trump administration’s immigration policies on Angelenos.

Hey y’all! It’s Morgan, and I’m so excited to finally get this project out to the public. I have been working on it for the bulk of the last year in the hopes of bringing to light an undercovered aspect of immigration detention.
Want to chat with me about the podcast? I’d love to hear about your thoughts on the miniseries, the other kinds of audio content you like, and any stories you feel deserve better coverage by local news.

Shani turned his restaurants in Israel into food distribution centers to feed Israeli soldiers fighting in Gaza and and is opening a restaurant in the Gaza border near the now depopulated town of Beit Hanoun.
